About Me

I've spent most of my working life in rooms where something real was happening - rehearsal rooms, classrooms, community centres. Before training as a therapist I worked as a musician for over a decade, writing, recording and producing. I taught art. I worked with young people in community settings, focused on empowerment and personal development.

These experiences weren't a detour. They taught me how to listen carefully, how to sit with uncertainty, and how people change when they feel genuinely met.

I trained in psychosynthesis counselling and am a registered member of the BACP. My approach is warm and relational — I'm less interested in following a fixed method than in following you. Sessions move at your pace. I tend to slow things down rather than speed them up, and I'm drawn to what's happening in the room as much as what's being talked about.

How I Work

My approach follows your experience - what it feels like for you, in your life, right now.

I work in a relational way. I'm less interested in labelling what's happening and more interested in understanding it from the inside - what it actually feels like to be you, at this particular moment.

Therapy with me is primarily through conversation. I offer a space that is calm, collaborative, and unhurried. You won't be rushed, analysed, or pushed into anything.

Most people arrive focused on a specific problem - something that feels urgent or stuck. That's always a valid starting point. But often, as we spend time together, something broader begins to emerge: a sense of how you move through the world, the patterns that show up across different areas of your life. That's often where the work naturally takes us.

My role isn't to fix you. It's to be alongside you as we start to understand what's going on - and to help create the conditions for something to shift.
